Prosecutors: Dominic Barbara Choked Girlfriend
Celebrity lawyer arrested in Williston Park.

Dominic Barbara, a high profile attorney from Garden City, was back in court again Monday after authorities say he tried to choke his girlfriend at his Wiliston Park home over the weekend.
Barbara, whose clients have included Joey Buttafuoco and Jessica Hahn, was busted at the home Sunday night at 11 p.m. The couple was arguing and Barbara "put his hands around the victim's neck and applied pressure," according to court papers.
Barbara was charged with obstruction of breathing and was released on his own recognizance following his Monday morning arraignment.
It's not the Garden City City-based lawyer's first brush with the law.
In December, he was charged with allegedly attempting to extort $200,000 from his ex-wife.
In March he was arrested for allegedly stealing a woman's purse.
Barbara represented Buttafuoco in the aftermath of his affair with Wantagh-born teen Amy Fisher. He also represented Hahn, a church secretary linked to a sex scandal involving televangelist Jim Bakker.
