Last Wednesday, Garden City Patch opened up its poll asking readers to answer our question of who had the best chicken wings in town.
After winging it for over a week, Garden City wing aficionados voted for their selection for the village’s best chicken wings in our poll, ultimately selecting J.P. McGeever's Pub as their choice as Garden City's Best Chicken Wings 2012.
The restaurant overwhelmingly won the poll with 56 votes (or 62 percent of all votes cast) and dominated the comments.

People are rightly passionate about these wings.
Patch reader Cheryl Kontaxis Novello said J.P. McGeever's, hands down, has the best wings. "Great wing night too. Every Monday and Tuesday. I never miss a week!" she said.

Fellow Patch reader Jim Witter agreed, who said McGeever's created a unique wing flavor called "House Wings," a secret receipe created by the chefs. "I always have a bunch each time I go to McGeever's," he said.
