Eight GCHS Students Awarded Adelphi Prize for Leadership
Students were awarded a memento in recognition of their accomplishments, a check for $1,000 and the opportunity to register for two courses at Adelphi.
Eight Garden City High School students were selected for 2013 Adelphi University Leadership Awards: Daniel McElroy, Jennifer Leary, Danielle Ienna, Patrick Dolan, Caitlin Rieger, Adam Davies, Aidan Logan and Regan Marooney.
This award is “the result of a partnership between Adelphi University and the Garden City community which recognizes students not just for scholarship, but truly for leadership, for being part of our community and really living the words in our slogan: ‘Building community,’” superintendent of schools Dr. Robert Feirsen said.
The students were selected by Dr. Feirsen, Adelphi president Dr. Robert Scott and village administrator Robert Schoelle and were honored at a ceremony last month at Adelphi where they were awarded a memento in recognition of their accomplishments, a check for $1,000 and the opportunity to register for two courses at Adelphi.
