Congratulations to Drusilla Falco, a senior at Garden City High School, who was recently named a semifinalist in the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Competition.

“I was really excited,” said Dru after learning of the distinction. Garden City’s most recent semifinalist is currently applying to a variety of colleges and universities to pursue her interests in science and history.

Since 2009, and including Dru, 18 Garden City High School students have achieved semifinalist status. Seventeen of those students moved forward to be named finalists in the competition. Dru will now be considered for one of the finalist spots.
