U11 Baseball Advances in State Tourney

The Garden City boys face Saratoga Little League Thursday.

The Garden City U11 boys baseball team continues to dominate in the New York State tournament after a win Wednesday night against Pennfield Little League.

The boys trailed 10-1 after one inning but fought back to make it 11-9 with two outs in the last inning. The team then scored eight runs to take the lead. They closed out the win in the bottom of the sixth inning, fighting off elimination.

The boys now advance in the losers bracket and face Saratoga Little League Thursday at 3 p.m. at Otsego Park in Dix Hills.

The Garden City team is one of only four left in the New York State tournament.
