Garden City Remembers September 11, 2001

Eleven years ago, New York - along with the rest of the country - was devastated by the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks. 

Garden City, one of the hardest hit communities on Long Island, lost 23 of its own while numerous other residents were affected by the tragedy.

Civic Organization Wants to Donate 9/11 Memorial Flag to Village: The Colonel Aaron Ogdon chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, an active civic organization in Garden City, donated a flag commemorating the tenth anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks to the village. It was presented during last year's services and is displayed on the Village Green during the month of September.
