Springtime Basket Making

Where/When: The Garden City Library April 2 at 12:30 p.m. for grades K-2 and at 2:15 p.m. for grades 3-5.

Why Go: Get your kids in the spring spirit despite this cold weather! Children are invited to make baskets with flowers and eggs using the art of paper marbleizing. A great decoration for your home!

GC For a Cure 5K

Where/When: Garden City High School April 2 at 9 a.m.

Why Go: Come cheer on Garden City residents who are raising money to support the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. There will be awards, raffles and events, so bring the whole family!

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels

Where/When: The Broadhollow Theatre Company, 700 Hempstead Turnpike in Elmont April 1 at 8 p.m.

Why Go: If you enjoyed the 1988 film with Steve Martin and Michael Caine, you will love this stage adaptation! Dirty Rotten Scoundrels centers on two con men living on the French Riviera who decide the town isn't big enough for the both of them. Hilarity ensues as they try to con one another into leaving...find out what happens Friday!

Pricing: $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, $18 for students and $14 for youth, available online. Tickets at the door ar $28.

New York Islanders vs. The Carolina Hurricanes

Where/When: Nassau Coliseum April 2 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: With just four more games left in the season, this may be your last chance to catch the Islanders until next fall! Head over to the Coliseum for some last minute hockey action.

Frankie Valli

Where/When: NYCB Theatre April 3 at 7 p.m.

Why Go: Do the songs "Sherry," "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "December 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" take you back to your youth? Don't miss the legendary and incredibly talented Frankie Valli perform Sunday evening. At 77 years old, he's still got it!
