A panel of New York's political influencers chime in live on the first 2012 presidential debate in Denver.

Game on.

Voters get their first chance Wednesday night to see President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney on the same stage as the 2012 presidential debates kick off in Denver.

The six topics at the hour and a half long debate will focus on domestic policy.

Here at Patch, we have invited several New York political influencers from both sides of the aisle to take part in a live chat during the debate. The confirmed participants are:
  • Don Scott (R), Bedford GOP chair
  • Michael Fagan (D), Long Beach City councilman
  • Linda Cabral Marrero (R), Village of Ossining mayoral candidate
  • Paul Feiner (D), Greenburgh Town supervisor
  • Thomas Kehoe (R), Northport Village trustee
  • Steve Behar (D), former NYC Council candidate, Democratic consultant
  • Peter Swiderski (D), Village of Hastings-on-Hudson mayor
  • Michael Kane (D), Peekskill Democratic City Committee district leader
  • Laura Morris (D), Pelham Village trustee
The live chat above will go live at 9 p.m. and run through the end of the debate. Please follow along. The chat will be driven by the panelists, but feel free to submit comments and questions for the panelists through the blogging platform and we may use them. As always, feel free to post comments and your thoughts on the debate directly below this article.
