S.A. Elite Sports Authority, the small-store concept from Sports Authority, will hold its grand opening in East Garden City this Saturday at 9 a.m.
The 20,000 square-foot store is located in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza, a new 330,000 square-foot retail center located in the heart of Nassau County, just off Old Country Road.
S.A. Elite offers a selection of athletic footwear from the top brands, plus men’s and women’s yoga, running and training apparel and accessories, as well as outerwear and fashionable casual looks.
“We are excited to bring the S.A. Elite brand to Long Island with the opening of our first New York location in The Gallery at Westbury Plaza,” said Darrell Webb, President and CEO of Sports Authority. “The S.A. Elite store concept offers customers high-quality, name brand footwear and apparel from the best sports enthusiasts in the industry. S.A. Elite provides a unique one-on-one shopping experience to meet customers’ individual needs.”
The Westbury Plaza S.A. Elite grand opening will reward the first 100 customers with “S.A. Elite Shopping Cards” that range from $5 to $250 in value, plus throughout the first week customers will have a chance to enter to win a $500 shopping spree.
Guests will have the chance to enroll in the Elite Membership Loyalty Program featuring 5 percent back in Rewards during a qualifying period. Plus during the grand opening week loyalty members will earn triple points on all purchases.
Regular store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
