Oct. 16: Presidential Debate Edition

Here are six things to know today, Tuesday, Oct. 16, ahead of the U.S. presidential debate.

Tuesday's debate at Hofstra University between President Barack Obama and Republican candidate Mitt Romney kicks off at 9 p.m. and runs to 10:30 p.m.

Candy Crowley, CNN's chief political correspondent, will moderate. Citizens will ask questions of the candidates on foreign and domestic issues; candidates each have two minutes to respond. An additional minute will be given to the moderator to facilitate a discussion.
