Power Outages Already Reported in Garden City

Forty-one households in the vicinity of Clinton Road are currently without power, according to LIPA's outage map.

The Long Island Power Authority is reporting 41 Garden City households are currently without power in the vicinity of Clinton Road.

Restoration is expected by 6 p.m. Friday.

LIPA and National Grid have brought in additional crews ahead of Nemo, according to a statement posted on LIPA's website.

"Conditions are expected to worsen later today into tomorrow, with a potential for widespread power outages. Our field force is ready with the supplies they need to restore power as quickly and safely as possible, but dangerous driving and working conditions could delay response times," the statement read. "We expect that most customers who lose power as a result of the storm will have it restored within 24 hours after losing power, but some outages could extend beyond that."

Report an outage and receive restoration updates by calling (800) 490-0075.
