Here are the Top Picks of the Week from the Andy Foundation's High Top Shop: This month, we at the Andy Foundation's High Top Shop, are on a mission: we would like to help as many people as we can, particularly those in Breezy Point, Belle Terre and areas devastated by Sandy.

After we got the word out that we were helping victims of Sandy, we have been meeting incredible people facing unfathomable challenges. The most touching part is when we meet them and learn about their awful circumstances (houses completely gone, nowhere to go since family/friends lost their homes also, children/elderly showing extreme signs of stress, some needing chemo and other life saving therapies, it goes on and on; these people tell us that they can wait and there are families who are those worse off than they! They show such selflessness worrying about others when all of them have to start over, rebuilding their lives. We need to help these folks.

This month, we will be donating 100 percent of our proceeds to these families that we have come to know. Please come in to shop, donate or just to find out more about the Andy Foundation and our missions. Come see our 12 Ways of Giving window display where we highlight many of the groups we help. Remember, if we all give a little, together we can give a lot!

High Top Shop fall hours: Monday-Friday 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.; Sunday closed.
