Attorney Devotes Time to Breast Cancer Research

Eighth annual golf outing and dinner benefiting breast cancer research and awareness.

Ellen Kessler, an attorney at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., and Thomas Maligno, of Touro Law Center, will be honored at the Nassau County Women's Bar Association and Nassau County Women's Bar Foundation Inc.'s eighth annual golf outing and dinner benefiting breast cancer research and awareness.

Kessler has devoted time and efforts to breast cancer research through the Adelphi Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program in Garden City, according to a release.

The event has distributed more than $170,000 to organizations dedicated to breast cancer research and awareness since 2006, including the Adelphi breast cancer hotline and program.

The golf outing is taking place at the  Harbor Links Golf Course, 1 Fairway Drive in Port Washington, on Sept. 23.

Costs are:

  • $1,125 for a foursome (18-hole course)
  • $285 per individual golfer (18-hole course)
  • $275 per 101 individual golfer (9-hole course with 2-hours of instruction)
  • $800 per table of ten (no golf)
  • $85 per individual dinner ticket (no golf)
  • $4,200 - $150 for packages and/or sponsorships.

Registration begins at 11a.m. followed by a "sandwedge" brunch. Shotgun (scramble) or Golf 101 (2-hour instruction) is at 1 p.m. The day is capped off with an evening cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by a buffet dinner, awards, and raffle drawing.
