Cops: Man Ripped Off More Jewelers with Fake Coins

Queens man busted for selling fake coins in Garden City sold to two other jewelers, police report.

A Queens man who was busted for selling fake coins to a Garden City jeweler has been charged with ripping off two other businesses, reported Nassau County Police.

Allen Natanel, 27, of Flushing, faces more charges after investigators discovered he sold counterfeit antique coins to two other Nassau County jewelers, cops said.

Natanel sold 98 Morgan Silver Star dollars to National Pawn Brokers in Inwood on Jan. 15, police said. On Jan. 18, he then sold 199 coins to Stein Family Jewelers in Franklin Square, detectives found.

Natanel was charged March 5 after cops discovered he had sold the same type of counterfeit coin to Frucci Jewelers in Garden City in January, police reported.

Natanel was charged with two counts of possession of a forged instrument and thirty counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
