Update: Cops ID Woman Who Died in Meadowbrook Crash

Car rolled over on Meadowbrook Parkway near Merchants Concourse, cops said.

A woman has died after she was thrown from her car on the Meadowbrook State Parkway Tuesday morning, according to New York State Police.

Cops said Danielle Tippin, age 24, of Roosevelt, was driving a Ford Explorer north near the Merchants Concourse exit in Westbury when she lost control of the car. The SUV rolled over onto the center median and the Tippen was ejected from the car, police reported.

The accident happened at 9:44 a.m. Tuesday, officers stated.

Tippen was taken to Nassau University Medical Center where she was soon pronounced deceased.

Yesser Vanegas, age 22, of Copiague, was a passenger in the car at the time of the accident and was transported to NUMC for non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The accident is still being investigated.

No other cars were involved in the accident, police said.
