A driver lost control of her vehicle in Parking Field 7N, behind Key Food Marketplace, Wednesday afternoon.
The sedan left the lot, jumped the curb and passed through a row of shrubbery before coming to a stop by a large tree.
According to police commissioner Kenneth Jackson, the driver was parking her vehicle and accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake.
Village police assisted the driver, who seemed to be shaken but not seriously injured, according to a witness at the scene.
