Police: Home Invasion Suspect 'Armed and Dangerous'
Detectives state Artie Jackson, 46, of Hempstead, is wanted for first degree burglary.
Garden City police have released a mug shot of the suspect wanted for the occupied home invasion on Third Street Thursday night.
Detectives state Artie Jackson, 46, with a last known address in Hempstead, is wanted for first degree burglary.
On Nov. 8, four Garden City homes within the Central section were burglarized. One was an occupied burglary where a weapon was displayed and shots fired into the ceiling. No one was injured but police state Jackson fled with many personal belongings, including the family's car which was later recovered in Hempstead.
The prior evening, on Nov. 7, a similar occupied burglary occurred within the Cathedral Gardens section of the Village of Hempstead.
