Small Fire Breaks Out in Commercial Ave. Building

A small fire broke out Tuesday afternoon in a piece of machinery at a building on Commercial Avenue.
Garden City firefighters were called to the scene at approximately 1:15 p.m. and found a smoke condition inside the warehouse-type structure.
The origin of the smoke was quickly located and the fire was extinguished. Firefighters from the Mineola Fire Department responded to assist.
