Two Suspects Wanted in Connection With TD Bank Robbery

Police are seeking the public's help in capturing a male and female who fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of money.

Nassau County police are seeking the public's help in trying to capture those responsible for a bank robbery in Garden City Jan. 30.

According to the county's Robbery Squad, two suspects entered TD Bank located at 855 Franklin Ave. in Garden City at 7:05 p.m. last Wednesday and verbally demanded money from a teller. The teller, police said, handed one of the subjects an undetermined amount of cash. Police said the female subject took the cash and the two then fled on foot eastbound towards the parking lot behind the bank.

The suspects, according to police, are described as a female African American 5'6" 30 years of age weighing 185 lbs. wearing a white hooded sweat jacket and a black BB cap and a male African American 5'9" wearing a knit cap black Boston Celtics jacket and jeans.

Crime Stoppers is asking anyone who has information about the identity or whereabouts of the above suspects to contact 1-800-244-TIPS (8477). Up to $5,000 reward; all callers remain anonymous.
