2012 Village Election Results Are In

Incumbent trustees poised to begin another two-year term.

Garden City's 2012 village election results are in. Polls officially closed at 9 p.m. at Garden City Village Hall.

Incumbent trustees John Watras, Nick Episcopia, Andrew Cavanaugh and Brian Daughney prevailed and will continue serving on the village board, according to village clerk Brian Ridgway.

The vote totals are as follows:

  • John Watras: 500
  • Nick Episcopia: 595
  • Andrew Cavanaugh: 499
  • Brian Daughney: 580

According to Ridgway, other votes amounted to a total of 20 among four people:

  • Michele Harrington: 1 vote on a absentee ballot and seven write-ins for eight total votes
  • Jon Segerdahl: 10 total write-in votes
  • Ron Tadross: 1 vote
  • John DeLanney: 1 vote

The incumbent trustees will officially swear in for another two-year term during the village's annual organizational meeting April 2.
