Trustees to Discuss Remediation, Deconstruction of Ellis Hall

Board expected to authorize the solicitation of competitive bids for the work in order to execute inter-municipal agreement with county to receive $300,000 under 2006 Environmental Bond Act.

Board approval of a volunteer firefighter, approval of more than $400,000 in tax certiorari settlements, acceptance of an $80,000 maintenance bond to replace the boiler at the Village Yard and a bid award totaling $657,981 for the purchase of a new piece of fire apparatus (this includes a trade-in value of $15,000) are among the topics included on tonight's Garden City village board agenda.

Trustees are also expected to authorize the solicitation of competitive bids for the remediation and deconstruction of Ellis Hall in order to execute an inter-municipal agreement with Nassau County to receive $300,000 under the Nassau County 2006 Environmental Bond Act.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. tonight in the village hall boardroom.
