Garden City Public Schools Board of Education adopted the 2013-2014 budget calendar at the Jan. 16 regular meeting.
The board and district administration encourage Garden City residents to attend its public meetings to offer input during the budget formulation process and to gain an understanding of budget challenges as the district enters its second year under the State’s tax levy limit cap mandate.
All meetings are held at Garden City High School at 8:15 p.m. on the following days:
Tuesday, February 12
Regular Board Meeting and Budget Work Session #1: Overview of Superintendent’s Budget and Revenues
Tuesday, February 26
Budget Work Session # 2: All Non-Instructional areas/Administrative and Capital
Tuesday, March 5
Budget Work Session # 3: Instructional Components
Tuesday, March 19
Regular Board Meeting and Budget Work Session #4: Instructional Components/Wrap up
Wednesday, April 10
Regular Work Session: Additional Budget Review and Discussion (if needed)
Tuesday, April 16
Regular Board Meeting: Adoption of the District Budget and BOCES Budget
Tuesday, May 7
Regular Work Session: Budget Hearing

just reading Jane Goodall with my son for school and came across this quote of an amazing woman…Read More "every individual matters, every individual has a role to play, every individual makes a difference." that is what makes our nation, our village so great everyone has an opinion whether we agree with it or not. It just saddens me to think some may not voice their opinion in the future because of the rather harsh comments which I'm sure were just meant to get a point across rather than be hurtful. Garden City residents are not afraid to get involved, to stand up for what they believe in and I am proud to live here.
