Boys varsity basketball heads to East Meadow to scrimmage before weekend play resumes.

The logjam at the top of Conference ABC V is about to loosen up. The Trojans hope they'll be sitting on the top log after this weekend.

Riding a two-game conference win streak, the Garden City boys varsity basketball team returns to the court Saturday, when they host Oyster Bay at home. Both teams are tied for first with a 4-2 conference record. They're not alone. Locust Valley and Friends Academy are right there with them.

Coming off a close win against last place New Hyde Park, Coach Larry Steimer brought his club to East Meadow on Wednesday to scrimmage, and work on their overall game before the Baymen visit their gym. Oyster Bay is coming off a loss to Friends Academy.
