Andy Foundation Begins 'Breezy Build'

We have been busy this week! I would be remiss if I didn't tell you we have some new items in the High Top Shop: we just got a lovely photo of Castel Sant'Angelo in Rome!

Tuesday we "broke ground" if you will on our Breezy house! The family we are helping, just happy to be alive and together, truly are an inspiration to us and make this all worthwhile!

The rain didn't dampen our spirits. Jill lead us as we removed all of the siding, insulation and plywood surrounding the house! It was actually lots of fun, cold and wet, but fun!

Wednesday's weather was a welcome relief. Of course it's not just our volunteers helping, we also have Jeremy and his wonderful team of professionals doing all the important work, we are just their elves removing debris! Our homeowners are helping too.

I think the nicest part of the day was when their youngest son thanked me and I asked why he was thanking me. He replied, "You are fixing my house so I can sleep in my bed again." That alone made it all worthwhile.

We couldn't be happier with the build and feel the family we have teamed up with is perfect! We are excited about this project. The electricians and plumbers are working on the house right now. We will keep you posted!

PS: Shout out to the Army Corps of Engineers guys with the Bobcat - they took all of our debris away.
