Item of the Week from the A.T. Stewart Exchange: Oak Desk

A light oak, roll-top desk, along with accessories, are in the spotlight this week.

This week's feature from The A.T. Stewart Exchange is a light oak, roll-top desk. This item is perfect as a computer station and a dedicated space for paying bills or handling correspondence.

The piece measures 54" W x 52" H x 29" D, and is priced at $800. Various features include pigeon coops on the left and right-side, ample drawer storage and a hanging filing system in the lower drawers.

We show a few accessories, such as a two-horse ceramic piece at $21, a brass desk lamp for $60, a vintage brass frame at $50 and the wooden abacus for $15. All items are available at the time of posting.

The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of the Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue, 746-8900. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.
