Items of the Week From The A.T. Stewart Exchange

A pair of antique paintings is in the spotlight this week.

Here are this week's Items of the Week from the A.T. Stewart Exchange: A pair of antique paintings. Since the paintings were done on white glass and not canvas, the colors are particularly vibrant. They're fruit motifs, done in the early 1900s and have attractive frames. Each painting is priced at $75. Pictured between the artwork is a vintage soup tureen, offered at $50 and assorted bone-china cups and saucers priced between $12 and $18. The cabinet holding the china is, unfortunately, not for sale. All items are available at the time of posting.

The  A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of The Garden City Historical Society Museum, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City 516-746-8900 and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Parking is available behind the museum. Visit the Society’s website at www.gardencityhistoricalsociety.org.
