Items of the Week from the A.T. Stewart Exchange: Furs and Handbags

A Persian lamb jacket, Dooney & Bourke fabric purse and more are in the spotlight this week.

This week's feature from The A.T. Stewart Exchange centers around furs and handbags.

Our fur is a Persian lamb jacket. It's nicely tailored, an attractive piece and is priced at a low $100. We have other furs - mink coats, full-length raccoon coats and shearlings. All items are priced from $100 to $475. Our mannequin is shown with a lovely gold-tone and glass-bead necklace for $45, and a smart black/taupe/floral scarf for $20.

The handbags on the floor, from left to right, are a camel hobo bag for $45, a Dooney & Bourke fabric purse for $36, a faux Burberry bag for $50 and a black and red floral fabric purse for $30. All items are available at the time of posting.

The A.T. Stewart Exchange (consignment shop), located on the lower level of the Garden City Historical Society, offers unique items for sale and is run by volunteers. Founded in 1975, The Garden City Historical Society is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. All profits go to the restoration of the Museum. The shop is located at 109 Eleventh Street in Garden City, just west of Franklin Avenue, 746-8900. It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays, and from noon until 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Parking is available behind the Museum. Please visit the Society's website: http://www.gardencityhistoricalsociety.org.
